Happy Thanksgiving to all of you back in the states. We love and miss you today, especially our families. May God bless you and keep you and you travel around, eat turkey, watch football, watch movies, or whatever it is that you are doing. We love you.

My Thanksgiving List

I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. We will be celebrating it with our team and Russell's folks who are coming down. We are actually celebrating on Thanksgiving Day, which we haven't done the past 3 years. So of course with Thanksgiving almost here, I am thinking about all the things that I am grateful for.
  • I am grateful for my healthy, growing, active son, Kelton. He is absolutely the delight of my life. I simply cannot get over how cute and wonderful he is.
  • I am grateful for a healthy pregnancy. Our new son is growing and active. I have no concept of what it will be like to have 2 children but for now I am happy to be here at 22 weeks.
  • My wonderful husband, Randy. There are no words to describe the wonderful gift I have in Randy. I am sorry to all the rest of the ladies out there, but there is no more incredible man out there.
  • I am grateful for the work I get to do here in Salvador for God's kingdom. I do not wonder if I am serving him, or what I would do if my faith were put to the test. I know God is working and alive in this place. He is allowing me to play a small role in his plans for this city. It is not easy work, but there is honestly no other job I would rather be doing than serving this church family.
  • I am so grateful for our supporting churches. May the Lord pour out his blessings on his congregation who believe that we really must go into all the world and share the Good News of Jesus Christ our Savior. Thank Highland, Wheeler, Cactus Drive, North County and Vernon for enabling our family to go.
  • I am especially grateful for our individuals and family who financially support us and keep us here on the field. I am grateful to all those who give one time gifts to us, but I am especially thankful for those who support us every month. I tell you the truth, to simply say that the dollar has dropped since we arrived on the field is an understatement. But God has continued to supply for our needs each month through the gifts our individual supporters give. Your sacrifice lifts our spirits every month and provided deep encouragement.
  • I am thankful to each person who lifts our family up in prayer. I know God hears and responds to each prayer. We absolutely feel the effects of these prayers. Some day I believe we will know how God used all the prayers of his people for us. We will see the opprotunities given, the sickness prevented, the protection supplied, the enconters that were made, the times are spirits were strengthed and restored all because of the prayers that were offered on our behalf.
  • Most of all tonight, I am grateful to be God's daughter. To be his beloved.....there is nothing sweeter.

I hope this inspires you to take a moment to reflect on what you are grateful for.

Blessings

Our team retreat

Here are some pictures from our annual team retreat. Kelton swam by himself for the first time.
